International Medical Corps was one of the first non-governmental organizations to commence relief activities in Lebanon following the war in the summer of 2006. As Lebanon transitions away from post-conflict recovery, International Medical Corps has progressively shifted its focus to address the country’s development needs.

International Medical Corps’ priorities now include:

mental health and psychosocial assistance
primary health care development
livelihoods and skills development
water, sanitation, and hygiene improvement
responding to the needs of Iraqi refugees and vulnerable host communities
conflict mitigation
youth empowerment

International Medical Corps has gained the support of communities, and is seen as a trusted, non-sectarian partner in all its areas of intervention, which include south and north Lebanon, Bekaa Valley, Beirut and its suburbs, and Tripoli.
